About This Service
Ancient Healing. Modern Relief.
Thai massage is one of the world's oldest healing traditions, developed in Thailand over 2,500 years ago and deeply rooted in the principles of energy flow, breath, and compassionate touch. Unlike Western massage styles, Thai massage is performed on a padded floor mat with the client fully clothed in comfortable, loose-fitting attire.
Your therapist uses their hands, thumbs, elbows, knees, and feet to apply rhythmic compression along the body's energy lines (sen lines), while guiding the body through a series of assisted stretches and postures that resemble a collaborative yoga practice. The result is a unique, dynamic experience that addresses the body at multiple levels simultaneously.
Thai massage is particularly valued for its ability to dramatically improve flexibility and range of motion, relieve joint pain and muscular tightness, and leave clients feeling simultaneously energized and deeply at ease. Our licensed massage therapists are trained in traditional Thai technique, serving Battle Ground and the greater Clark County area.

Benefits
Why Choose Thai Massage
Dramatically Improves Flexibility
The assisted stretches of Thai massage take joints through a full, supported range of motion โ releasing restrictions in muscles and connective tissue that limit flexibility, often producing gains that months of solo stretching cannot achieve.
Restores Energy & Vitality
Thai massage works along the body's energy lines (sen), clearing blockages that contribute to fatigue and sluggishness. Most clients leave feeling more awake and alive than when they arrived.
Relieves Joint Pain
The mobilization of joints through their natural range of motion during Thai massage can provide significant relief from stiffness and pain in the hips, knees, shoulders, and spine.
Improves Postural Alignment
By releasing the muscular patterns that pull the body out of alignment and guiding joints into better position, Thai massage supports healthier posture โ with effects that extend well beyond the session itself.
Stimulates Circulation & Lymph Flow
The combination of compression, stretching, and movement during Thai massage effectively stimulates both blood circulation and lymphatic drainage โ supporting immune function and tissue health.
Balances the Nervous System
The meditative rhythm of Thai massage โ the practitioner's steady breath, deliberate pace, and mindful presence โ creates a profoundly calming effect on the nervous system, reducing stress and promoting a sense of centered wellbeing.
Your Experience
What to Expect
What to Wear
Arrive in comfortable, loose-fitting clothing โ yoga pants, loose trousers, and a T-shirt or light top are ideal. You will remain fully clothed throughout the session. No oils are used. Avoid heavy meals beforehand.
Floor Mat Session
You begin lying on a padded floor mat. Your therapist kneels or stands beside and over you, using their body weight to guide the work rather than brute force โ making Thai massage surprisingly sustainable and connected.
Rhythmic Compression & Stretching
Your therapist works through the body systematically โ applying palm and thumb pressure along energy lines, mobilizing joints, and guiding you through progressive stretching sequences. Some positions may feel intense; communication is warmly encouraged throughout.
Energizing Close
Thai massage typically closes with the client in a seated or supine position, with final compressions along the shoulders, neck, and scalp. Most clients report feeling both deeply relaxed and noticeably more energized โ a unique combination.
Common Questions
Frequently Asked
Do I need to be flexible to receive Thai massage?
Not at all โ Thai massage is appropriate for all levels of flexibility, including those who are very stiff. Your therapist works with your current range of motion, never forcing beyond what your body allows. Ironically, regular Thai massage is one of the best ways to improve flexibility.
Is Thai massage painful?
Thai massage can be intense โ particularly the stretches and pressure on tight areas. However, it should never feel like sharp or harmful pain. Your therapist adjusts throughout, and open communication makes a huge difference. Many clients describe the sensation as "pain that feels good."
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes that allow free movement โ yoga or athletic wear is perfect. Avoid jeans, belts, or anything restrictive. You can change into suitable clothing in our facility if needed.
Is Thai massage safe during pregnancy?
Thai massage is generally not recommended during pregnancy due to the pressure points and stretching techniques involved. Please let us know if you are pregnant โ we will recommend our prenatal massage service instead.
How does Thai massage differ from regular massage?
Standard table massage is passive โ the client lies still while the therapist moves their hands. Thai massage is interactive and dynamic โ the therapist guides the body through movement, stretching, and compression in a more collaborative, yoga-like experience. It addresses the body differently and produces different results.
