Benefits Over Shaving

📅

Lasts Weeks, Not Days

Waxing removes hair from the root, so results typically last 3–5 weeks — far longer than shaving, which only cuts at the surface and regrows within days.

🌱

Finer Regrowth Over Time

With regular waxing, hair follicles are repeatedly disrupted, causing hair to grow back finer, softer, and sparser — many clients notice a permanent reduction in hair density.

Smoother, Cleaner Results

Waxing removes the entire hair — not just the visible shaft — leaving skin truly smooth without the stubble or irritation that often comes with shaving.

🚫

No Razor Burn or Nicks

Say goodbye to razor burn, cuts, and ingrown hairs that come with daily shaving. Professional waxing minimizes ingrown hairs, especially with proper aftercare.

💆

Gentle Exfoliation

Waxing removes dead skin cells along with hair, leaving skin softly exfoliated and noticeably smoother after each appointment.

Less Maintenance

When you're on a regular waxing schedule, you spend far less time on daily hair removal — freeing up your morning routine and simplifying your self-care regimen.

Frequently Asked

How long does hair need to be for waxing?

For best results, hair should be at least ¼ inch (about the length of a grain of rice). If it's been 2–3 weeks since your last shave for facial areas, or 3–4 weeks for body areas, you're likely ready. When in doubt, give us a call and we can advise.

Does waxing hurt?

Waxing involves a brief moment of discomfort as the hair is removed, but most clients find it very manageable — especially with an experienced esthetician. Sensitive areas and first-time clients tend to be most sensitive. Taking an over-the-counter pain reliever 30–45 minutes before your appointment can help.

How often should I get waxed?

Most clients find that every 4–6 weeks works well for facial areas and 5–6 weeks for body areas. With regular waxing, hair tends to grow back finer and sparser over time, so appointments may be spaced further apart.

What should I do to prepare for waxing?

Gently exfoliate the area 24–48 hours before your appointment to prevent ingrown hairs. Avoid sun exposure, tanning, and retinoids for 24 hours before waxing. Make sure hair is long enough to be waxed (at least ¼ inch). Arrive with clean, dry skin free of lotion or oils.

What should I avoid after waxing?

For 24–48 hours after waxing, avoid sun exposure, swimming, saunas or steam rooms, heavy exercise, and applying scented products to waxed areas. The skin will be more sensitive and susceptible to irritation during this window. We'll share specific aftercare instructions at your appointment.

Can I get a facial on the same day as brow waxing?

We recommend getting brow waxing before your facial, or spacing them a day apart if possible — facial treatments can make skin more sensitive immediately after. Let us know when booking and we can help schedule appropriately.
